NEW SHOWS ADDED!
SCIRT World Buskers Festival 2014 organisers have added two new
performances to the run of "The Boy with Tape on His Face - More
Tape" after overwhelming seat bookings.
Online bookings reached capacity four days before the festival
opened and on-site bookings have proven similarly popular for
homegrown festival favourite, Christchurch's own Sam Wills. Wills
first appeared in the festival in 2004 and has achieved
international success with his silent one man show.
Artistic Director Jodi Wright said his continued popularity was not
a surprise. "Every year Sam comes to the festival he attracts huge
interest and he just keeps getting better. We're just pleased that
this year we were able to put on extra shows to give even more
people the chance to see his act."
Additional performances of "The Boy with Tape on His Face - More
Tape" will run on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 January at 3.30pm at
The Press CLUB at Christ's College. Online seat bookings will
be available from 9am on Tuesday 21 January at
www.worldbuskersfestival.com. Seats will also be available from the
Buskers Bookings Booth at Busker Park in North Hagley Park from
11am on the days of the shows.
